Personality was studied in 104 physically disabled children and adolescents and a healthy control group. Furthermore, perception of parental behaviour was evaluated. Comparison of the two groups revealed significant differences of personality variables with regard to quantitative but not structural aspects. In contrast to this impairment of personality of physically disabled children these children perceived no disturbance of parent-child-relationship.
