Onderzoek naar psychiatrische stoornissen, verstandelijke beperkingen, toerekeningsvatbaarheid en behandeladvies van Antilliaanse jongeren die tussen 2000 en 2006 middels rapportages pro justitia zijn vastgesteld. Antilliaanse jongeren hadden vaker een gedragsstoornis en vaker een zwakbegaafd functieniveau, maar minder vaak adhd en minder vaak een ontwikkelingsstoornis dan Nederlandse jongeren. Ook vergeleken met andere migrantenjongeren werd vaker de diagnose zwakbegaafdheid gesteld. Antillianen kregen vaker een pij-maatregel opgelegd en minder vaak ambulante behandeling dan Nederlandse jongeren. Oorzaken zouden kunnen worden gevonden in de samenstelling van de groep Antillianen die de afgelopen jaren naar Nederland is gekomen, evenals taalproblemen en cultuurgebondenheid van vragenlijsten, en het mogelijke verschil in interpretatie van gedrag tussen Antilliaanse en Nederlandse jongeren door gedragsdeskundigen.
