Caesalpinia digyna rottler is used in the treatment of hypertension, inflammation, diabetes, hepatotoxicity. In the present study methanolic extract of Caesalpinia digyna Rottler root (MECD) at doses of 200 and 400 mg/kg was evaluated on N-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) induced hypertensive rats by observing blood pressure and heart rate.
