I wish to thank Katherine Brown and colleagues for their letter (April 27)1 regarding how I propose to address the Framework of Engagement with Non-State Actors (FENSA) and interactions with the private sector as Director-General (DG) of WHO. I fully agree with them that only a WHO that protects its independence and integrity of decision making will have the ability to fulfil its constitutional mandate.
