<span class="paragraphSection">The Editors and Boards of <span style="font-style:italic;">The Journal of Medicine and Philosophy</span> and <span style="font-style:italic;">Christian Bioethics</span> are saddened to note the passing of Joseph M. Boyle, an Editorial Advisory Board member of and contributor to both journals. He died on September 24, 2016, after a brief struggle with cancer. He and his wife Barbara had just celebrated their 50<sup>th</sup> wedding anniversary in July, in the presence of their children and grandchildren. We offer his family our sincere condolences.</span>
