Abstract
This paper concerns with the flow in a channel filled with porous medium of two immiscible, incompressible, electrically conducting viscous fluids of different viscosities in two separate layers of equal width in the presence of transverse magnetic field and constant pressure gradient. The fluid viscosity in the upper layer is less than the fluid viscosity in the lower layer. The Brinkman equation is used for the flow through porous medium. Expressions for the fluid velocity and flow rate are obtained. The influences of magnetic field and other parameters on the velocity profile and flow rate are presented graphically and discussed.
