[Correspondence] Discrepancies in guidelines for acute respiratory distress syndrome

In July, 2018, the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) and the Intensive Care Society (ICS) released their guidelines on the management of acute respiratory distress syndrome.1 These guidelines used GRADE methodology to develop evidence based recommendations for the management of acute respiratory distress syndrome in adult patients in intensive care. Overall, the guideline provides useful guidance to stakeholders.
